Central Middle School of Science is a neighborhood and lottery school. Central provides a unique opportunity for middle level instruction. Our program infuses science and technology throughout all curricular areas via interdisciplinary teams of teachers and students. It is Central’s goal to provide an instructional program on the cutting edge of technology and science education. Central teachers guide students in becoming lifelong learners and responsible adults. Students have access to technology in all classes. As one of the smaller middle schools in Anchorage, we engage and support every student in learning. Here at Central, we measure our success by how our students apply critical thinking skills as they engage in the Central community. High academic expectations and high standards for students’ behavior are integral to Central’s program.
